Veena Ravi has been collecting dolls for 20-25 years. At her home in Basavanagudi, she has recreated the underwater city of Dwarka using over 6,000 Dasara figurines. Each year, a new theme is curated using the figurines to depict a different story from Hindu mythology. This year's theme is Dwarka, the sacred city that is said to have been submerged under the Arabian Sea as Lord Krishna left the world. The annual family tradition has become a local attraction, drawing around 100 visitors each day during the Dasara festival. Preparation for the display commences months in advance, with the figurines meticulously arranged starting in August to ensure every detail is perfect.
